Education Support Across Arizona

Life in Arizona is all about growth and prosperity. We're proud to support both by funding community programs that strengthen education efforts throughout the state, the place where we all live, work and play. This support includes helping to create access to post-secondary education and advancing teacher success.

Programs that we proudly support include:

   APS and Phoenix Suns STEM Teacher Grants

In partnership with the Phoenix Suns/Phoenix Mercury Foundation, STEM Teacher Grants help bring learning to life with awards of up to $2,500 for K-12, public and charter schoolteachers who introduce STEM concepts to the classroom through in-class projects this school year. Grant applications are open through Sept. 30.

   Supply My Class

Teachers often use their own money to buy classroom supplies. To help, each year K-12 teachers in our service territory can enter for a chance to win a $500 prepaid card to use towards school supplies for the start of the school year. Currently, 500 randomly selected winning teachers are being surprised with their prepaid cards. Applications open each summer. 

   Leading the Way

Through our support of organizations such as the Indigenous Leadership Academy (ILA), Hispanic Leadership Institute (HLI), African American Leadership Institute (AALI) and Asian Corporate & Entrepreneur Leaders, we are committed to helping develop new leaders to guide our beloved state of Arizona in the years to come.

   APS Career and Technical Education Scholarship

We recognize that the hard-working students of today are very important to the Arizona of tomorrow. The APS Career and Technical Education (CTE) Scholarship supports students pursuing careers through an eligible certificate at participating colleges. In partnership with Earn to Learn, it helps remove financial barriers, empower students to complete accredited training and connect to potential careers with companies such as APS. The scholarship is available for qualifying students at Yavapai College and Arizona Western College.
